Turn Offs by @FantasyDaters

Different people have different turn offs, but there are a few turn offs that are practically universal. They are dating behaviors to ditch now. But sometimes, some of our habits are so ingrained that we don’t even realize we do the annoying things we do. So, if you want to have a successful date, make sure you are not guilty of the following offenses:

1. Complaining.

Nobody likes a complainer. Sure, it’s natural to occasionally vent about our jobs or traffic, but if your complaining goes beyond a quick mention, you may be in trouble. If you arrive at a date complaining about how you got lost, whining over how tired you are and bitching about the slow bartender, don’t be surprised when your date slips out the back door.

2. Gossiping.

If you talk about people in a negative way and make fun of everything from their clothing to the way they speak, your date will think you are the ugly one. Plus, they’ll worry that you will talk the same way about them when they’re not around.

3. Being Rude to the Staff.

It doesn’t matter whether someone is serving you filet mignon at a five star restaurant or handing you cotton candy at a street fair. When you’re rude to the staff or any people at any venue, your date will notice. Chances are, they won’t like it.

4. Talking About Yourself Too Much.

Visit The Singles Warehouse Book Store Now!We have two ears and one mouth for a reason. We’re supposed to listen twice as much as we talk. Remember that as you and your date converse. Check yourself. Are you hogging the conversational floor? Have you asked your date any questions about himself or herself? Remember, everyone wants to feel important. Steamrolling someone with your babble will do the opposite.

5. Acting Like a Know-it-all.

Even if you think you know it all, keep some of it to yourself. People who act like they’re smarter than everyone else usually suffer from low self-esteem. That’s like waving a huge red flag that reads, “I don’t like myself” in your date’s face. It’s a complete turn off. Plus, it’s annoying.

6. Bragging.

There’s a healthy way to be proud of your accomplishments. But bragging is not it. A person who brags also usually suffers from low self-esteem. The bragging can be an effort to get other people’s approval. Unfortunately, the result is a total turn off.

Think about dates you’ve had that did not result in second dates. Were you guilty of any of these offenses? If so, keep them in mind and make sure not to repeat on future dates. Remember these tips to make a good first impression during every date and transform turn offs to turn ons!
