Recently the internet has been flooded with rumors that Miley Cyrus and fiance Liam Hemsworth have called off their engagement after being together for almost four years.
Although Miley has since dispelled rumors of a breakup by posting a nonchalant snap of her engagement ring on twitter. This is not the first and probably won’t be the last time we hear about these two ending their relationship before they have had a chance to make it down the aisle.
Why Do We Want Them to Breakup?
There is no denying that Miley and Liam have had a roller coaster of a relationship. They broke up twice in 2010 before finally getting back together in 2011 and then announcing their engagement in 2012.
Their relationship has been riddled with rumors that they have both repeatedly cheated on each other at various stages and these are rumors that we are all too eager to believe.
It seems that we are a little too impatient for this young couple to split, we excitedly accepting whispers of a breakup with a happy sigh. We rejoice over the fact that these two have not wed too young, possibly making a mistake that they will regret for the rest of their life.
We see ourselves as voyeurs into their relationship. Voyeurs who are fortunate enough have realized that things are doomed before Miley and Liam have gotten the chance.
Maybe you’re shaking your head at this article; maybe you’re Mileys biggest fan and wish her nothing but happiness.
That’s fine, I understand. I’m from New Zealand, a country right next to Liam’s homeland of Australia. Since New Zealand celebrities are almost non-existent I support famous Australians with an unquestionable loyalty. I want nothing but good things for Liam.
4 Reasons We Think They Will End Things:
1) They’re too young – At 19 and 23 none of us can believe that these two have managed to find ‘The One’ at such a tender age.
2) He’s famous now – Most people had never heard of Liam when he first started dating Miley, but now that he’s gained Hunger Games fame we expect him to use opportunity to play the field.
3) Everyone else breaks up – Every other relationship in Hollywood seems to have an expiry date, the odds of a 19 and 23 year old being one of the few couples that lasts the distance is almost inconceivable.
4) It’s not fair – Miley’s young, rich and famous and now she gets to marry Liam Hemsworth? No way, how do we get her life?
Which makes me wonder, maybe the problem isn’t with Liam and Miley’s relationship, maybe the problem lies with us?
