Are you a control freak? If you’re not sure, you could ask a close friend because they’ll tell you. And if a friend isn’t available, just ask yourself this question, do I always need to have everything a certain way? Your way!?
Control freaks need to have it their way
There was once a point in time when I seriously had to ask myself if I was becoming a control freak. I think it was during my early twenties when I began to really develop my views on life.
I didn’t want to be another know-it-all. I knew how “bossy” those types can come across and I didn’t want to be known for that. So I decided to change my approach and remembered, you can catch more flies with honey than with vinegar.
It’s time to open your mind to new things
There is no reason to have everything a certain way, all the time. Talk about causing unnecessary stress on yourself and those around you.
It’s impossible to do everything yourself and you can’t go around telling everyone how to do things either. So when your date offers to make the dinner reservations one night, go along with whatever they come up with.
Adding some variety to life is healthy. Insisting to have everything done your way–and freaking out whenever it’s not–will only lead to having stomach problems later in life. Let someone else take control and just enjoy.
How to not be such a control freak
