This is about the late night booty call or text message you receive from that certain someone. It could be a past or recent lover. It could be someone you never slept with. Whomever it is, there’s only one thing on their mind.
At first you might be excited to hear from them again. After all, it’s been a while and… wait a minute, what time is it? Funny how you haven’t heard from them and here they are calling after bedtime.
You remember how much you actually like this person. Then you remember how they never call you back. And for them to call now is making you wonder, why?
Don’t fall for the typical late night booty call
Sure, everyone gets lonely. I’ve gone through some dry spells when I was dating and felt like I was entitled to some action. After all, we are all hot-blooded mammals. But think for a minute where this road leads you–feeling lonelier than before.
Maybe you’ve heard of NSA (no strings attached). A relationship where there are “no strings” is the same thing as the being the regular “booty call” and they both have nothing to do with love. It’s only about the sex.
It’s important to remind yourself of this because you waste time and your precocious sexual energy with these non-committal types. They’ll string you along, have you thinking maybe things could turn into the real deal, but you get stuck in a loveless pattern
The booty call can show up in many forms
Now the booty call can come in the form of “sexting” and picture sending.
If you find that you’re trapped in a situation where the other person never calls, never wants to meet, there’s never a real conversation and there’s no attempt to spend any quality time together, you may have fallen into a bad pattern of sexting.
Cheap thrills like the booty call and sexting will always leave you loveless. Don’t feel bad if you’ve been a victim of this behavior. It’s so easy to get caught up in the excitement but remember, you’re smarter than that and certainly deserve better then a booty call.
