Singles Warehouse recently sat down with Carrie Blogshaw who’s blog tells wonderful tales of the singletons life. We simply had to ask her some questions…We also love what dating blogs she Carrie reads…
Thanks for joining us Miss Carrie Blogshaw. What inspired you to start
www.carrieblogshaw.com?
One day long ago, I was encountered yet another dating disaster which inspired me to put my thoughts out there and share with other sexy singletons who were experiencing daunting dating dramas. All dating disasters since then have been documented on the site and I encourage readers to write in and share their experiences. Together, we will figure this whole modern-day dating thing out!
So you are on a mancation right now? What’s all that about?
In the past year, I had an engagement end and, when I was ready to finally start dating again, met one dud after the other and finally got fed up! Thus, my mancation period began. I have taken this time (still on mancay) to focus on what I want and need in my life and when I am ready to put myself back out there, I will. Just need a bit more time to focus on my career and cannot afford any bad boy behaviour to get in the way!
What would you say is the best post you’ve ever written? Why?
The best post I ever wrote, or the post I had the most fun writing, is called “Isn’t it fabulous when your little brother gets engaged…” because it showcases what it’s like when a younger sibling reaches a mating milestone before the older sibling and the ensuing drama. Plus, it features my mother and like I always say, if it’s not one thing it’s my mother…
What was the hardest post you’ve written?
The most difficult post I ever had to write was when my engagement ended last spring. It was horrifying, heartbreaking and humiliating. I considered ending my blog due to emotional devastation, but instead I used the site as a forum to discuss the drama.
Other than Singles Warehouse naturally, which online dating blogs do you read?
Oh, I didn’t realize there were other dating blogs besides www.singleswarehouse.co.uk and www.carrieblogshaw.com !
You say you are looking for your Mr Blog…describe him to us – he may be reading!?!?
Mr. Blog is: emotionally available, has a good sense of humour, is intelligent and hardworking, dedicated, trustworthy, loyal, honest, sincere, genuine, adventurous, kind, caring, sensitive and willing to put up with me! If any of you see him, could you please let me know?!
Finally where do you see your adventures next taking you to.
After all of the catharsis of posting on my website, as well as the time and money spent in therapy to overcome my abandonment, rejection and intimacy issues (ugh!), that I will be able to start dating men who are better suited to me than any of them have been. I hope, one day, to tell you about my healthy and loving relationship with Mr. Blog!
