I’ve been thinking a lot recently about my current situation.
Writing my blog, blogging weekly on here and dating guys; they all obviously interlink.
Have you seen my face? Do you know my real name? That’s right, my mother didn’t name
me Bella at birth although most people now, both online and in real life call me that. I am a ‘secret’ blogger. Well, it’s not really a secret; I just don’t tell guys that I write about them. My closest friends know and have an occasional read but other than that, you guys are my readers.
Here’s a situation question for you…. You find someone and want to start a relationship with them and blogging has become something you enjoy doing. It’s a weekly thing and a thing you do on your personal blog whenever you think of anything to write about. At what point do you tell them that you have written about the early days of dating and everyone who’s anyone could have read it.
Do you tell them at all?
Imagine them reading through your back catalogue of all the dates you’ve been on, all the people you may have slept with; all the gory details of your dating past.
The reason I’m wondering about this is because recently Lee’s best friend’s girlfriend followed me on Twitter. At first I was a little shocked – It’s completely different from my personal one and there is no link to it at all. I then had to decide whether I wanted her to read my blog. Which I didn’t. So I blocked her. You might think I was being hasty but although I write for the whole world to see, I would prefer to keep MY worlds completely separate.
So anonymous bloggers… How do you make sure there is no link between what you do and who sees it? Would you tell the guy you’re dating that you write a blog? What if he stumbled across it and made the link – would you care?
And the not so anonymous bloggers… Does your other half read your blog? Do you tell guy/girls that you are becoming close to that you have a hobby and you write up your dates? Do they care?
p.s I know that Lee didn’t disappear because of my blog – he’s just an idiot!
